Teaching

The courses of ETH Zurich’s Chair of Philosophy II are primarily aimed at students of the natural sciences and technology. They are meant to broaden students’ conceptual and historical horizons as well as foster the ability to reflect on unexamined premises, and on the non-scientific consequences and limits of students’ primary subject of study.

The Master program History and Philosophy of Knowledge is an interdisciplinary degree which engages with knowledge about the history of the modern world, the history of science and technology, philosophy as well as literary and cultural studies. Using a range of methods in the humanities, the two-year program prepares students to examine changing and socially produced knowledge and technology within an area of expertise.
